This position is open immediately for the right candidate.

SMART I.T. Services, Inc. is seeking to hire a Service Engineer with the following qualifications:
• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter who can follow a project through to its completion
• Microsoft Certified [MCP or MCSE]
• Help Desk or call center experience
• Four year college degree in any field
• Three or more years of on the job experience in an Information Technology capacity
• Strong understanding of networks; Local, Wide Area, VPN, Wireless
• Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems and Microsoft productivity software

    (MS Office, Visio, PowerPoint, Adobe)
• Strong Working Knowledge of Cisco Switches, Routers, and Firewalls
• Experience installing and troubleshooting Intel servers and related hardware
• Strong Knowledge of Veritas Backup Exec and other backup solutions
• Strong understanding of workstation operating systems as well as Network Operating Systems,

    group policies and active directory
•Experiance scripting network managment tasks

•Strong understanding of IP networking

Other desirable characteristics:
• CompTIA Certifications: A+, Network+, Internet+, Server+, Security+ and others
• Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCDA, or CCNP
• Experience with Solarwinds Orion and other network management solutions
• Hardware Certifications - HP, Cisco, IBM, Compaq, or others
• Experience using scripting to automate system management process
• VOIP network optimization & Implementation experience
• Experience with Intelligent Phone systems (Televantage & ResponsePoint)
• Experience in the insurance industry and agency management systems

• Have exceptional customer service skills, and a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Above average verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Possess logical problem solving skills,
• Excellent understanding of desktop operating systems and networking principles
• Professionally respond to telephone calls, emails, and web-based service requests
• Follow projects from start to finish, making sure they are completed in a timely manner
• Continually learn and explore new hardware and software technology
• Provide friendly, courteous and quality support for clients
• Communicate projects status’ with clients and provide documentation for the steps taken to reach a resolution
